The following terms and conditions apply to any use of the website or services offered through the website. The website and services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old. Persons under 18 are not allowed to use the services.
The Services Provided
The Early Reading Project is a website that offers virtual lessons and consultation focused on reading instruction and early language development. The lessons offered through the website are designed to inform and inspire parents of young children and anyone who wishes to learn more about reading and early language development.
The website offers private virtual lessons of different kinds and lengths, which primarily take place on Zoom. The lessons are given personally by Adam Azari. Users can book lessons through the Acuity scheduling platform, which is operated by Squarespace.
Liability Disclaimer
The website and the lessons on offer share Adam Azari’s personal knowledge and personal suggestions for parents about reading instruction and early language development, based on his understanding of these subjects. They explicitly do not promise or guarantee users any results, or claim to be authoritative, comprehensive, or free of errors about the subjects discussed.
Adam is not liable for the consequences of any decisions made by users following the lessons. Any actions or parental decisions taken based on the information or suggestions shared during lessons or on the website is the sole responsibility of the user.
Users who buy the services offered on this website do so at their own discretion and at their own risk. Adam does not guarantee that the lessons will meet the user’s expectations or objectives, and he is not liable for any reliance on the information or recommendations given during the lessons.
Adam is not a reading researcher and does not present himself as such, and his suggestions for parents do not constitute professional advice by a certified professional.
Payment
The lessons booked online are paid for through the payment processor Stripe and all the payment methods accepted by Stripe, including credit cards. (Stripe collects payment information from users, and you can find their privacy policy at this link.)
Lessons booked online are paid for in full in advance.
Users who wish to use other payment methods, such as cash or direct bank transfer, can contact Adam directly via phone or email.
obligation to Paying users
When a lesson is given at the scheduled time, Adam’s legal obligation to the user is fulfilled.
anything Adam chooses to share with the user beyond the lesson—including answering follow-up questions via email, additional PDF presentations, or any additional time/attention/guidance—is shared at Adam’s own discretion according to his own will.
Rescheduling, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
Lessons scheduled online are paid for in full in advance.
Users can reschedule lessons up to 24 hours before the lesson. If the user needs to reschedule an appointment less than 24 hours in advance, they may contact Adam directly via mail with the request, but any rescheduling of said lesson will be done at Adam’s discretion according to his will and judgment, based on availability.
In case Adam himself needs to reschedule or cancel a meeting scheduled through the website (or fails to arrive for a lesson at the scheduled time), he will offer the user alternative time slots based on availability or full reimbursement.
Exemption from Right of Withdrawal
As what the users are paying for is the time, availability, and consultation provided by Adam, a private individual, any right to refund, return, or withdrawal does not apply once the lesson has been delivered.
Access Disclaimer
Users who schedule a virtual lesson through the website are responsible for ensuring they have suitable internet connection and access to Zoom in order to enjoy the service at the scheduled time. Any technical difficulties on the part of the user will not result in any refund as long as Adam is available for the lesson at the scheduled time.
Adam is responsible for having reasonably adequate internet connection during lessons—enough to convey the content—but unexpected minor technical (or connection) difficulties will not merit rescheduling or a refund, or a discount as long as Adam was available for the lesson (any additional appointment to make up for lost instructional time is subject to Adam’s goodwill).
Adam does not guarantee that his internet connection, video, and audio quality meet the user’s expectations.
The Right to Revoke Access
Adam reserves the right to refuse any individual user access to the service and deny them the ability to schedule lessons.
Prohibition of Sharing and Using Original Materials
Adam may share materials with students before or after lessons.
Any original documents created by Adam and shared with users through mail or through the website are for personal use only and users are prohibited from sharing them with others without Adam’s explicit written consent.
Users are prohibited from copying the ideas shared in the lesson and repackaging them for any kind of commercial use. Users are especially prohibited from using Adam’s content to create their own early reading program or offer similarly phrased recommendations..
